need help-hilux front diff
need some help, trying to take my front diff out of my surf, book does not tell me much, can anyone here explain in easy terms, how it comes out. do you have to take all the front wheel bearings out and do it that way, once i know how to do it once then the next time should be easier. need to put my lsd from the rear into the front and then put my lokka in the front diff for the rear, trying to get it all done before the west coast trip,HELP

I wonder how many of you guys out there are aware of the "Camo Method" of replacing Birfields on a Toy axle:
Pull locking hub cap and remove snap ring.
Unbolt seal/felts on back of knuckle.
Unbolt brake caliper and tie out of the way. (can be skipped if you have long brake lines)
Unbolt steering arm. (leave bottom knuckle cap alone)
Pull entire outer knuckle assembly off of axle.
Sawp in your parts.
Put it back together.
It's a big-time shortcut since you don't need to mess with the 54mm socket or wheel bearings.
Just remember to turn your berfield (cage part of CV) so that the flats match up with the top and bottom flats on your swivel housing (you'll see when you've got the axle open
to clear the diff you won't need to pull the axle shafts all the way out 10 cm each side should clear it
If its the IFS let us know and we'll throw up details for that
Cheers Reece
