just wondering what length rear shackles (center to center) i should make for falcon rear springs into a 85 surf ???
and would 8mm plate with a center brace thingy be ok or what would you guys recommend?

First, cut your rear mounts off and make some blocks to lower them (and move them back or forward slightly, depending on where you drilled your holes etc)

Excuse the crappy welding - did these ones years ago when I couldn't weld for shite :P

I now use 50mm box when doing it for extra lift as most falcon packs are pretty flat.

The shackles, I tend to use about 130-150mm long (overall plate length, not centre to centre) by 40mm wide 8mm bar, one side has a 14mm holt top, 1/2" hole bottom and the other an 18mm hole top and 1/2" bottom. Use the pin from a Hilux shackle in the top, and a 1/2" HT bolt in the bottom to suit the Falcon bushes.
