rear axle movement

can anyone help me, i changed my rear brake pads today and noticed there is some movement of both rear axle's in and out if pull and push the wheel.
should there be any at all, if not would it just be bearing's ?

Hmmmmm Sounds like rear bearings have worn...

Do both sides at once.

I found one of mine loose when I went to clean out rear brakes once after a trip. Could move it in and out a few mm's.

When I pulled it down the bearings was shot.... Felt like it was full of grit.
