Safari Bits

Post by bobrocket »

Found a random small wreckers in auckland, sort of like a pick a part, they have a couple of high roof models, a swb, a lwb, maybe more bits around the place.
Thought I'd scored a mint turbo setup untill the guy came running over - yep that one actually belonged to someone.

Good for people after panels and glass and stuff, has a few complete diffs, none diff lock, no turbos just TD42's, reckons he's got lots of gearboxes and did manage to see a few pto bits, 1 still complete.

He's having a fuel problem in one of cyclinders on his truck and is looking or someone to fix it, could be bargaining power for someone?

If you want stuff let me know and can find out, he wasn't to keen for his details to be posted and would hate to ruin a potentially good thing, prices are what can neg on the day, I got some cheap bits but he wanted to much for other stuff so I guess it depends on the weather.

Even has a few lux's there if you happen to swing that way, no sure about specific's but can always ask, I only saw leaf sprung models.

I went to the place over the weekend and they have a couple of LWB high roofs and I got

2x window regulators ($60 each)
Front Grill ($120)
Rear pumper corner ($40)
running board ($20)

He wanted $180 for the dash cluster unit but I know I can get it cheaper elsewhere.

nice guy a little pricy considering you have to take it off the vehicle but I needed the items so I paid for them and I drive 2.5 hours to get there so I didnt want to leave empty handed after taking them off as well.
