Hey guys.
After doin a bit of work on my 4runner today, ive come to a realisation that the drivers side sits higher than the passenger side, both front and rear. I measured the height from the top of each tyre to the guard, and the average difference was about 3-4cm which i think is quite a bit.
Any idea on what may be the problem? Cant be good leaning like that!

Re: Suspension problem maybe???
Its common for Spring to be left or right hand sided.
So the drivers side springs are a little bit higher due to more weight.
You will have to take them out and check them for marks stateing right or left hand side.
Good luck.

Re: Suspension problem maybe???
Mate mentioned to me that the front torsion bar mite need adjusting to raise the height back up a little, any thoughts on this?
Re: Suspension problem maybe??? New pics up
Ok so did a bit of measuring this afternoon.
There is 2cm more strut showing on the lower part of the rear strut of the drivers side than there is on the passenger side.
In the front ive taken pics of both drivers and passenger side, do these settings look right for the alignment? the bump stop things show the difference in height quite clearly.
This is the front drivers side:

And the front passenger side:

Also what are the torsion bars and how are they adjusted? Does anyone think this may be the problem?
I checked the springs and they both looked the same with no markings

Re: Suspension problem maybe???
hey mate very easy to adjust torsion bars. laying under vehicle you will see 2 bars which are attached to the lower control arm where the bumps stops are. follow these back and you will see the adjuster. just simply wind them up. from standard the ride height should be 58.5 mm which is measure from centre of front eccentric cam to ground and centre of front hub to ground the ride height is the difference between these.

Re: Suspension problem maybe???
just a note on winding torsions,
don't try and adjust them with the weight of the truck on them , jack to front up off the ground , wind a little and set back down to check ride height.
If you wind them with weight on them you will stretch the treads and snap the bolts.

Re: Suspension problem maybe???
Ok so i adjusted the passengers torsion bar this morning so now the front is pretty close to level.
The rear on the other hand is still 2-3cm lower on the passenger side. Would i be right in guessing that the left rear spring may have sagged?
Also do i need to get a wheel alignment now, as adjusting torsion bar has left the steering wheel slightly off centre.
Thanks for the help guys
