How I bought her.

To This 2 inch suspension, 2 inch body lift and 33x12.5 Nankang Mudstars on 15x9 -19 ROH Rims

Since then have fitted a snorkel, and Water Temp Gauge, + new seats, a stereo and some speakers to make it a bit more comfortable. few other bits fixed up and or played with.

Video of her at Woodhill

and some current mockups of Winch bar work being made at the moment.

Still Plenty of work to be done, rear swing arm will be going on as well, front will be quite sturdy (and quite heavy as a result) will have bars around the front to side bars, to the sliders, and the rear will be stand alone. all looking pretty good for aproach/depart angles so far.

One thing Dan - sometimes it is good to pull from below the bar - it can help lever you out of a hole.

Following me "through" what ?
As long as I dont knock a tree ofer onto you..

Unfortunately it cant really be any smaller with the winch in there, and its 4mm steel so its heavy, but offers quite a bit of protection :D

Ramming speed ahoy !

Still side and top bars to be done for it too.

Re the below, might keep a hook in the factory pos sticking out a bit just incase..

Whole damn that's gonna be a mean bulldozer. You'll be asked to reopen old tracks soon  . Gotta love the winch being protected from all the mud. Will there be enough air flow through there to keep it cool or will it not worry the winch?

that snorkel hat will be long gone before any of that bull bar :D.
Bigger than the tube frame most people go for now days but it doesn't look to bad and certainly looks like it could take on a heifer or two. :D

Ok, the outside measurements of the plastic boxes are,
400w X 720l X 170h
And the outside measurements of the wood are
940w X 810l X 200h

Even went out and measured em for ya :D
Bought the boxes from Plastic box for around $20-25 buck I think ? Got those ones as they fit perfectly between the wheel arches.

Fyi See this one for slightly bigger boxes (I didnt really need that much storage.)

i had a setup like this in the back of my surf for a while. drove me crazy.
on the trail you have to open the spare wheel , wind down the rear window and drop the trail gate , just to get at your recovery gear.
And 9 times out of 10 you cant get the tail gate open enough.

just food for thought . when i make mark 3 , it will be open-able from above and inside to get around this issue.

it does depend on what use mr boon wants... if its just for getting out and about with everything stowed then its probably ok....
seeing as we only tour i set up the 80 like so:
Image

the left drawer has camping supplies ( cookers, pots, mugs etc)
the right drawer has tools/oils/strops etc

on top is my fridge(big blue and silver shiney thing), and the chilly bin and food container.. i strap these down using rhino rack pull-thru straps secured to the cargo barrier.
on the left of the drawers is the gas bottle, and on the right ( out of view) i have a 10 ltr water container with hose and tap.

the white board serves as a bench and hinges up when the tailgate is shut 8)
i used to Cruise, now i PATROL
