2tonne car transporter in auckland

Post by muddyhilux »

hi all, really big ask, but is there anyone in aucks that would have a brake car transporter which will hold a 2 tonne hilux that I could borrow over the weekend of 5-7th of March?
Cant afford much but sure I could arrange a few boxes of beer.
Cheers in advance

yip, thats the one,at this stage im gona have to take 2 vechiles with 2 small trailers down, pull motor n box plus mayb flatdeck off to put in smallist trailer then get rest of vechile in other cos biggest vechile i have access to is 1800kg braked rating, but if i can find a trailer to borrow i could then mayb if im lucky afford to hire a large 4x4 with 2500kg braked rating and just do it with 1 vechile and a whole lot less hassle  ,but funds are limited as per usual

When you take into account price of gas there and back, and if you have to hire a car, and possibly a trailer, wouldn't it end up cheaper to just get a truck to get it? I know McEntee hire out their car transporter for 55 a day which isn't too bad. Not a short drive down there either

Is it running? Most car transport companies will put it on a truck for round 250 running + 50 to 100 extra if its not running, much easier an cheaper than hiring another vehicle an drivin all that way

but mr fj40,good to hear from you :D ,if you think it aint that heavy then that makes things alot easyer, and simpler,id more than happyily pay ya gas to taupo,by ya a burga and a beer aswell for ya efforts,it would certainly make my day alot shorter, only thing is i was hoping to hear her running 1st just so i kno what im buying,i assume by the offer to haul up youd be able to put wheels on it for me and then wip them off in taupo?
