How about we pencil in 20/21 March and see how that goes. I will book in one of the animals for pickup on the Friday and HOPE that we have enough cold space to chill it till it gets fired up :)

Possum, I know a man who owes me a few litres of rum but no bourbon at this stage :) see what I can arrange.

Bringing the thread back to ME rather than poor abused Possum (there must be a Tui ad in there somewhere)

looking good for weekend of 20th. We have a couple of people staying so may run out of comfy bed space soon... more basic accom still avail :)

We have a lamb booked it be have its insides extracted later to be replaced by a metal rod then surrounded by lovely flames :)

==========================================
Based on my desire to get power steering sorted and engine started up again what do I need to do so that my shit is together for it? :) Main issue I see if bracket for pump to engine block as it has no mounting holes on the block.

Image

For tidy up anyone have boot to cover this hole in the housing?
Image

Anyone have a offcut angle iron to use to mount winch at the rear to the chassis?

I think I have some angle iron, will have a look and txt you if I do... as for mounting the pump, there are heaps of bolt holes there! Just have to work out how the bracket will sit...

Bed booking please if that is poss, if not will bring mattress and sleep in truck

What sort of power steer pump are you using, if you've got a chev one it sits in a cradle and swings off the waterpump but you need a long water pump the short ones dont have the mounting holes?

it looks like a chev one on the remains of an old chev bracket with a whole lot of crap welded onto it, you might be able to cut some of that shit off and reuse the origional bracket to attach it to your waterpump mount?

Sounds promising. I will clean it and drop down to the local petrol head certifier see if he has a mount sitting around :) (copy of or steal.. I mean buy it).

cheers

no worries, I was going to suggest you brought your Paj around with the current issues you are having :)

More lamb for the rest of the crew, I got to go and round up the wee bugger tomorrow and drop off.

Either Fri night or sometime Sat morning. (Let me know if you want to be there Fri night and I will make sure enough food etc woops I mean beer is chilled)

As for what to bring, tools in case I do not have the right bit maybe? If anyone has some steel to make up a bracket I can by some offcuts from that could be a goer.

I still have Stinky's welder (unless I drop it off to Taz01 on Wed if I drive into town) but zero gas - happy to buy some gas from someone if we need welder.

main thing I would like would be to get the power steering in and get the engine started (need to find a new place to sit the battery(ies) (prob under passanger seat) as I want a rear seat (not yet found one gggrrr).

I have PTO which I have cleaned up and winch I should have back together by Friday (if I sneak into the shed for a bit this week). I am assuming even I could install this but if we get a chance what the hell :)

we MUST drink beer and the above stuff may or may not happen.

Oh yeah - if anyone coming has not been here drop me a PM for address and directions. Couple of rooms/mattress (sorry bedrooms booked) still avail if required but suggest bring a sleeping bag :)
