Could easily pick up a samurai in good condition for $3k, and then throw $7k at it, would be one hell of a truck

or look in the for sale section on here.....

Yeah i saw that on trademe, would be very keen if it was in Auck. But id want to fly down to check it out first, then id either have to get it transported up, or drive it up.. My mate has a lifted samurai with 31s and its not the most fun truck to drive on the motorway in..

IMO the safari/patrol is way better on road but the Samurai is far better OFF ROAD so it depends where your priorities are. I nearly bought a new Jimny a few years back....and then i took one for a test drive
and ended up buying something I felt comfortable with every day.
As others have said- 10k is HEAPS.. although it may take some work on the rust issue.

you mean like when your stuck up to your sills and a zuk just drives around you.

Horses for courses , Sammys drive sweet on the road if they are set up right , but not a long distance machine IMO.
patrols are a very well designed machine and go good , but are a big ,wide and heavy.
I personally like the way a zuk gives you multiple options on what line to take and a fully interactive driving experience instead of just driving in the ruts with every one else.
You could not build a zuk like Quadracers for the money he is asking for it. Very nice machine

Re: WTD: SWB Patrol or Samurai
I dont necesarly want to spend $10k just what i have to play with.
Yeah that Samurai would be ultimate and would defo been keen if it was in Auckland, but will still keep it in mind.
Ill just sit tight and wait for something to pop up thats a bit closer, Patrol or zuki, whatever comes up first at the right price.
Being a panelbeater i caaaan deal with rust but dont really want to, as i know how much of an asshole it is from many work related experiances.
