Went for a look up thompsons track for the first time
gotta say "great track" Bulldozer been through and almost to the top so bit of a boring drive apart from the odd loose boulder to dodge
Great play areas off the side then went a wee way over the katikati side (about 4 or 5 bogs) then ran out of time
Will be back to do it properly now we know what we are in for

found out on friday from the mechanic that the gearbox in the terrano is rooted ( auto) so now cleaning out the garage in preperation for stripping ti down and selling the parts.

good engine, shite gearbox.

on sunday tried to start the other terrano (good one) had to change the batteries over then snapped the terminal. lucky I have a spare haha.

anyone needs a good td 27t let me know. or any other parts off a terrano. plates are currently still live

in the process of cleaning also decided to selling my dive gear. bcd, 1st and 2nd stage and computer. will put up tm link once done.

questioning the bobtail now, with the way ive done the ute chop its looking perfectly proportioned, (i always thort these lookd a little long with the canopy removed) still tossing up the bob tail or doing the wellside tailgate convesion like whats seen on pirate, that way the chassis is the lowest point, not the body work, least that way ya can drive hard off banks and only smack tha chassis

So this just bolts onto an unmodified surf body? If so...are you going to take a mold and possibly sell me one?

Na, came out extremely well actually just a couple of dings and the plastic piece in the middle around the gearstick is smashed cuz my mate fell on it. But nothing major, didn't even crack the monsoons.

haha, i was waiting for someone to say that, yep fits to standard surf, but then if i did that mine wouldnt be the only one like it now then would it..
I could but honestly even if it was worth my time n effort i would have to pass.. so friken over using fibreglass... it was a piece of piss to do though..

Did some skids in The 50 at the weekend.

Took it to a Vintage Fun Rally, cool to see some MB Jeeps, Series 1 Landy's, and of course a couple of us Zook nut's in our old clunkers

Good day out, plenty of old engine's with worn rings pumping out smoke, lots of smiles and a bit of sun burn.

The 50 spat a gearbox mount of all things, I took two spare rear axles so naturally it wasn't going to break on of those

So Chris, that is an interesting bunch of vehicles. Where was that and was it a Kiwi4x4 event?

Just been on to the website but couldn't much about what the club has been up to.
