tool needed

Post by shroom »

if your around the pukerua bay area (in wellington) and have a socket big enough to fit the crankpulley bolt - is there a chance I could borrow it from you?

I am just resetting the valve/rocker clearances to see if i can quiet the motor down a wee bit...initial measurement of them seems rather loose.

Ive done the first 6, but cant do the others..

wont be home tomorrow...

ok - lets try this again

Truck a safari, no idea what the size is, just bigger than what ive got.
Ive not tried tightening a belt and turning it with that yet, so i could try that, but its getting dark now and ive been summoned to go shoot some possums tonight...so...

I guess a good plan would be to wait till tomorrow night, ill try the belt thing, and if that dont work, im sure someone will be able to tell me the size of the socket in betwee, and i can either buy one, or someone will come out of the woodwork!

Cheers for your replies!

Petrol one's 27mm, diesel probably the same? I usually just put it in 3rd or 4th and roll it forward a bit to turn the engine...
but I've got a socket you can borrow, I'm in Waikane all day Monday but driving to Wgtn on Tuesday morning could drop off then if you want or you could collect. - pm me if you want.
cheers, Terry

I thought it wouldn't be that big

I drive around all day, all over the place, with a complete socket set in truck, up to 32mm

if ya need to borrow, then flick us a txt or call - 0272417757

can shoot up this arvo if ya want

either way, you have a couple of options now
