im runing a tdo5 at the moment has good spool up, most i've had it up to is 26psi at about 3000rpm but the egt's r round the 620-650 so dont let it go that high very often....

need to get my injector pump recond so that mite be stuffn me up a bit but im pretty happy with it for now!!! :D :D

Are you running an intercooler? If not is the inlet manifold standard? 26psi without an intercooler and with the standard inlet manifold is likely to be causing piston damage. With that sort of boost it is highly likely you are getting different amounts of air into the cylinders and so some will be running a lot hotter and some colder than your egt gauge.

You might be OK but I've seen quite a few that have taken out the inner cylinders because of this!

Also don't recond your pump, instead send it to Arron Smythe in Rotorua and get him to do a hybrid job on it. Not a lot more than a normal recond but far far better if running high boost!!!

its not a truck i have done just what he said, i wouldne have thought a turbo that small would get up that high, my 05 courier only gets to 23psi free boosting but dont do that much.

he does goo job of pumps to have put on two that i have had from him oto different wagons an defantly makes good difference

Ideally, you want to use the biggest air-cleaner you can physically fit under the bonnet. Donaldson unit 12 or 14 inches long etc, paper element for best filtration. K&N have very poor filtration in comparison, but have better flow because of it. If its a 24V Safari, you can shift the LH battery to the RH side and turn them both 90 degrees so they sit side-by-side, then you can fit the Donaldson.

With a standard pump, anything above 14-16psi is a waste of time.

If you are getting sand in then have you tried a pre -filter eg nylon shocking over the snorkel? Keeps the big stuff out so can help a fair bit.

Those donaldson pre-filter hats are supposed to be awesome. I cant remember the name of them but there are two sorts- the clear bowls which capture the dirt and the black ones which throw the dirt outwards and then let it drop down out of the filter through these vanes (self cleaning)

The ausies love them due to all the sandy dusty places they travel.

They are also very popular on mine machinery. They pay themselfs off quickly there by extending the time between filter element changes.

Ok, I'll bite.....

Maybe you should make with the photos of your own setups that you keep going on about first. You know, the photos you promised numerous people on here months ago but keep making excuses as to why you can't provide them.

Think about how you can contribute to the forum, before you demand anything from it.

If pics can be posted on there then they can be posted in the thread. Pretty easy if you can follow the simple instructions which are on here somewhere. I hardly read this thread anymore as its always pics please and nothing ever comes of it. Have looked through the ones already up and can't see much in them as it won't let me expand them. Can't tell what the quality of the fab work is like for example. Just host them on photobucket and copy the link!!!!!

Theres nothing wrong with mentioning filters either is there as it all goes hand in hand with each other I'd have thought.

Shouldn't you be able to tell US the facts since you are the only apparently straight one here and also since you have made 100's of successful manifolds that you forgot to take pics of.

Also BTW if you are going to insult people do it properly. A gay homo? come on. Thats like me pointing into the kitchen and going a COLD FRIDGE or walking down the street and going AN EMOTIONAL EMO or hang on what about our coffee table.. Made from a piece of wooden wood.

where do you live? Gore? Perhaps the spellings not your fault. Perhaps its that your 3 fingers are a typing hindrance.

Up side is that you are probably a fast as shit swimmer with your webbed toes.

Do I smell bacon!!!!!!!!!!!

And it is funny when someone is asking for ideas so that he can steal them to sell to others, and then gets his skirt all twisted when people don't fall over themselves to help him.

But I guess he just can't express himselve right due to the 3 fingers?...... Yeah Right!

Far from being "gay homo's", I think you'll find most people on this forum are actually very reasonable and quite happy to offer assistance where they can, provide some good tech info along with a bit of good-natured banter.

Oh, but then there are others who are a bit grumpy and likely to just tell you to f#ck off on the horse you rode in on.

But look, the Top of the South Island winch comp is coming up later in the year. Since its right in your own back-yard it will a perfectly opportunity for you to front up and put your money where your homophobic mouth is.

Is a Gay Homo a double negative (not that I am saying being gay or a homo is a negative, Im just saying ... ah feck it)?

So that makes us all straight, right?

Thats what I thought might have been a possibility. You'd feel a bit ripped if your designs were cloned and sold without you getting any credit right. You have to put something on the table before people will open up. I mean its a bit sus when this thread is pretty much all you post in and you want our pics?? Just be normal and stop all this stupid gay homo comment shit as you just look like a child. Treat people normally and they will most likely do the same in return.
