Sweeet... welcome to the ranks of fuel-guzzling mud-slinging loud-pedal-thrashing madness :) (In a very tread lightly and ecologically friendly way, of course :P )

Craig, you still got that old 3Y flywhel and clutch? You might be able to get your beers back, methinks...

Matt4U, i noticed you were on toyspeed - another toyota forum, mostly based around cars rather than 4wds, send the following people PMs are they possibly know where to score an M series bellhousing from; deaf_rattle and myKool, could also possibly try nite_b.

alternativley, make the auto bellhousing fit the manual box, usually works out cheaper than getting one made up.

I wouldn't have a clue... it was a long time ago I gave it to Craig, and a long time befor ethat I got it...

Have a look at it, is there meat on the plates?

I'd possibly look at getting a new clutch for it, but on the budget I'm guessing you are using here I'd just chuck it in and see how it goes... its only an afternoon to change it if it doesn't have enough clamping force for the loud pedal thrashing it will likely get :)

Time for an update, I have been spending a bit of time in the shed workin on the truck this week. Mainly just finding faults and fixing them.
I had a oil leak that was from an oil gallery.
and today I found the thermostat housing was held onto the head buy one bolt so when I got the watersystem under pressure it started pissing out, that gave me a hell of a fright, I was glad to find a bolt missing.
With all teh bolts missing and other stuff the guy I got it off was a big muppet.
I also found the heat exchanger on the airintake was leaking on the inside, easy fix, Bypass it,

so all going to plan, I mite have a test drive tomoro night

Well had a bit of a set back, It should have been time for a test run on friday but it wouldn't run, at all. several days, new plugs and lots or swearing later thinking about possiably having to rebuild the entire engine Mike came past and traced it back to a faulty temp sensor for the injector timing. So now I can put everything back that I pulled off and get it on teh road!!!!
