Re-chroming shocks

Does any one know of a place that can re-chrome my shocks??? They have sat outside for too long & some rust spots have appeared on the shafts......apparently some motorbike places can do this.....any ideas?

What sort of shocks? I would imagine they would have to be pulled apart to do it and so a rebuildable shock.
Just guessing though.

They are Oram long travel shocks, if it's not viable I'll struggle to get any new ones without sourcing from overseas!

would be cheaper to get new shafts machined for them, assuming the chrome rod is accessible in NZ had fox shocks and bent the rod, made new rods and put back together

if the rods are pitted then the shaft needs to be reground, chromed up to size and then reground, fairly major work.

I had the shock on one of my motorcross bikes done in the late 80's, the bike shop jacked it up but said they couldnt guarantee it, it seemed to work ok and the shock never leaked for the couple more years I had the bike
