Just got back from a quick skid up the track to the summit and can confrim that the digger has been up there and its in mint condition apart from a couple of wet bits.

Its 3:30am on Sunday morning, night 4x4 missions rule

Went up there on Saturday, was going to go in the Katikati side, but was too rough for the standard-height terrano haha

Other side was mint and no problem making it to the top. Good fun!!

I'd be keen to go up there as soon as it is wet. Last time (28-12-09), I went around to the kati side and gave it a go. A small crowd of people gathered to watch this mad JAFA wreck his Terrano, however I disappionted them. Gave my winch a good work out! There was a guy with a bath tub on a trailer with winches at both ends on "stand-by" to recover me, ( no doubt for a fee). Roll on the Rain! Cheers.

Haha bring on the rain alright! Was talking to some quad bikers on the Katikati side and they said a Terrano had been abandoned not far up the track. They said it had broken down aparently. Guttered!

Ill be in providing i can get my transfer case out of my donor truck, gears swapped over, and back up and running by then.

Hanging for a drive!

TeAroha side is like a highway, play areas are still ok though, and theres always the rock climb to the 100acres for those who are keen (an have winches)

Sounds good. i was considering going back down Kati side. I have done that side just after Christmas before the work was done, got up to the "big bog" before a punture forced me to turn around. Got back to car park just as tire jumped off the bead.

Lookin' forward to next weekend 8) 8)
