IT WONT START =(
my 70 series 3b as been sitting for 7 weeks while ive been away.
Went to turn it on & it wouldnt start.
Batteries are sweet as pulled out the starter motor opened it up & its all good still spins no rusting.
When i turn the key the glowplugs cliks & sucks power from the batteries but thats it.
I got it push started fine but the ignition wont work & it was working perfectly before i left it.
Any suggestions??

Sounds like the starter motor isn't getting any power. Would check fuses and make sure it has constant power to the big cable. When you took it out did you test the solenoid to make sure it was good? would also check the ignition barrel if nothing else works

I had the starter motor recond about 5 months ago so the solinoid should still be sweet.
My terminals did have a bit of corrision on them & that chemical dusty stuff to when i opened up the bonnet.
Where do you get new 1s? Easy enough to install yourself?

Re: IT WONT START =(
should not need new ones, just pull them off and give them a good clean and then put some petroleum jelly(Vasaline but sounds gay) on the terminals to stop it happening again.
Check for power on the main term of the solenoid and then check for power on the small terminal of the solenoid when someone is turning the key to start.( or you can just jump between the big and small with a screw driver but bit hory) if there is power at two terminals as described then solenoid could be a bit stuck, try tapping with a hammer lightly as someone turns the key to start and have the tools ready to quickly take off the bat neg just in case it keeps cranking when the key is released..(possibly it could jam on as well)

Make sure the earth leads have a good contact as well....
Re: IT WONT START =(
just sounds like bad contact on your battery leads. either loose or the crimps have broken down a bit. and like 'muddy' said check your ground leads too. Just as important as the positive and usually the one the gets neglected
