Changed the fuel and air filters on my L200, then spent rest of day behind a rotary hoe digging up a backyard.
There's only 2 tools you'll ever need - WD40 and Duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should - use the WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - use the Duct Tape.

decided against bobtailing the lux, as in my opinion its alot a work for only some gain, and I want as much deck space as possible for camping and trips, so instead im doing a virtual lift by cutting 3" off the bottom of the tail gate and the rear side panels which brings all the panel work well above the chassis line, im then able to lift the rear bar almost 5" as with the body lift i hadnt adjusted the bar to suit, so a virtual lift of almost 5".
Already started cutting and its gona look good, keeping with the same lines :D

Replaced the right hand steering knuckle bearings on the lux, old ones were crushed to a pulp after meeting a large tree stump at speed, messy job

Wired up the winch, added a couple of brackets to the bullbar for spotlights and spoke to a guy at Supercheap and got the spotlight wiring sorted (the high beam indicator didn't work).

Was a good weekend for me, testing out my new Wrangler MTR's.

Friday headed town to Maratoto/Wires Road, got almost the whole way around the loop, but couldnt make it up the last bog. Camped overnight, then headed down to Thompsons track Saturday. Was going to go up the Katikati side, but went in and was too rough for me! So we drove around to the other side, was sweet as a digger had been up there. But was still challenging in some places. Made it to the top no sweat. Mint view from the top! Very happy the way the mud tyres were.
Camped again Saturday night, then came back up to Auckland Sunday, drove past the National Trials at Thames but didnt go in, was packed as! Then went clay-bird shooting on Sunday and possum hunting Sunday night!

Will try get photos up soon

Choice weekend!
