URGENT bodylift question

I am in the process of installing a 40mm bodylift on my LWB GQ.

I have removed 8 bolts so far, including the rear captive nut bolts. I have read that if only the front two bolts are left (behind the front bumper) there is more than enough movement to jack up the rear and put the blocks in before moving to the front.

I have tried jacking up the body at each rear corner using a bottle jack and some wood to protect the guards.

I am getting no movement at all between the chassis and body, I can even stand on the tow bar and jump up and down with the body jacked up and still nothing.

I also read another guide that said there are actually twelve bolts to remove but most people only bother installing 10 blocks. The extra two bolts are supposed to be in the cargo area somewhere. I have looked under all of the rubber bungs and there are no more bolts that I can see.

What am I doing wrong here?

Did you get the two 12mm at the rear corners? We did all 8?

The two at the rear corners?

Do you mean the two that have the captive nuts inside?

If so then yes.

I have also looked at a manual that I have and it states there are only 10 body mounts.

my shorty has two mounts under the rear floor behind the seats that attach to a chassis crossmember. Do LWB have the same?

When I did the lift on my hilux I loosened the bolts on one side and removed the ones on the side I wanted to lift (did it one side at a time). The loosened bolts allow the body to move but keep it attached should the worst happen. I then put a large block of wood under the body where it was strong and jacked it up slowly until it was just high enough, slid the blocks in and then bolted it in loosely. Then did the other side in the same manner. When I was finished I checked it was all good and then tightened everything up. Do it on dead flat ground or it will creak like crazy because of the chassis and body not being flat to each other (mine creaked all the time untill I loosened it all off on dead flat ground, gave everything a tap and re did the bolts up.

I have had a good look under the back end and felt around on top of the crossmember and can not find any other point where the body is fixed to the chassis. I have also pulled all of the bungs from the cargo area and found nothing.

In the morning I will remove one of the front bolts and try and jack up one side and see how I go.

When i lifted my hilux.
I removed all the nuts off the bolts .
I then loosened fuel filler pipe, auto trans lever, removed radiator shroud etc.
Then i jacked up 1 side...slipped the blocks & new bolts in...then did the other side.
You have to jack very slowly & watch out for things catching.

Got it sorted this morning, I suspect I wasn't lifting the body high enough for the suspension to decompress.

I used a trolley jack and lifted side by side, got everything in easily and bolted up.

My fan shroud doesn't seem to be impeding the fan though? I thought this had to be removed.

The guides refer to the 'lower' radiator shroud but mine seems to be one piece which surrounds the fan??
