haha cheers, it goes hard, love it! Those mud tyres made such a difference though, my mate had all-terrains on his Mu and was skidding all over the show. Its got a standard tow hook on the front, but need to get one put on the rear (only have towbar at the mo), got 3 at home sitting around somewhere.

Think im going again in May maybe, if its still open, will let you know. i think if it rains heaps ill find it harder haha

  Did the Mu on A/T's do the loop with you??

Ah crap, I better go do some work, thanks for giving us all a great start to the week, I'm gonna be giggling about it all day

On a side note, at least Peter Vahry doesn't need to send a digger into the Wires loop for two weeks to fix it, as a Mu on A/T's and a Terrano with no tow hooks can drive round it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most of the loop was quite dry, only few places i had to give it some juice! Got some videos of the last bog i couldnt get through. But have to get them off my mate first. Then ill prove it :D :D

If i didn't get stuck.   are you sure your taking about the loop
Wrangler MTR's at road pressures , kaimai mud
Stock teranno not dirty at all with no panel damage. And a MU on AT's
evidence required as it stinks of BS or being on the wrong track.

Hahaha! Ok, will try get some videos/pics tonight or tomorrow.

Im Pretty sure it was the right track... Turn off the highway onto Maratoto Road... drive for a few km's, then turn left into Wires road, the cross the ford and through the small carpark, then drive up the gravel road for about 1 km, then the entrance to the track begins with the big steel gate. Follow this track for a couple of km's i guess and thats were the loop starts :) and the loop has signs when you drive around it... 2km, 2.5km, 3km etc

so you drive along the track with the km signs on it, you climb up some past a big rock with ABC written on it , pass a fork in the track with a big steel gate on it, take the right hand track ,then drop down to the river and a hut with a "river inn" sign on it , loop track starts after the hut and goes around about 5-7km and comes back out at the fork in the track with the steel gate.

Still sure you did the loop?

Ah well, you've got more to look forward to seeing next time. Once you were a few kms up the trail, did you drift left at a 'Y' junction, past an open steel gate into the southern end of the Loop?

I'm confused as to how far you actually got.

nope dude thats the main track. the loop is something else again off that main track... you would not be driving in there in your wildest dreams in your terrano and get most of the way round without winch and a few panels missing etc  .

Hmm i went past the first steel gate once you go up the gravel road... thats where the track started i guess... followed that for a while until i came to a t-junction and i went left. But there was no gate around that area, and thats where the km signs started so i thought i was on the loop? im getting confused aswell haha. Only one way to find out, and thats do it again!
Hoping on going back in May with couple other mates that can tow me out if i get stuck, but im gonna give the terrano heaps to get through there. Dont care about damaged panels, thats why i bought it :)

nah dude if you had turned right there you would have dropped off the side and ended up back on the road, thats where the old old old track used to go up. you were on the main trail and im guessing that you didnt make the ABC rock but would have been close. thats about 2/3 the way up
