silly as it sounds try toyota ,they have a set price for a lot of those $45 complete from mem.that will give you track rod and two balljoints.they have had to slash a lot of there prices to stay in the game

relay rod...$330, tie rod $503 :!: :!: :!:

+gst.... WTF

Yeah I paid $40 plus gst each including air freight from Japan last year..... and I got the ball joints with them :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Brought both late last year from toyota, had to come from new plymouth. trade price $70 incl freight for both incl ball joints

The toyota dealer in Kent terrace Wellington is where i got mine from, $45 +GST Tie rod with both ends.
and relay rod with both ends $45 +GST.

tie rod part number 45460-69165
relay rod part number 45450-69076

That's awesome as they're the bits I ordered this afternoon hoping they'd be right.
Got told $45+ each and yeah that includes all 4 rod ends.
Strange that each of these part numbers include the parts I was quoted the best part of $1000 for :roll:

Hi sorry for the stupidity but which is the one that goes from the steering box down to the tie rod?? I thought it was called the drag link??

Is drag link and relay rod the same??

cool have bent the one on our truck and due to the odd ball size thread haven't been able to find someone to make one up.

Does anyone know the length of both the tie rod and the relay rod as ours is a bit of a mix and match so may find one is better than the other. Suspect will need to modify it anyway.

Also is the thread in the tie rod the same as the relay (from memory 17mm)??

I'm not at home so can't be sure but for the part numbers above IIRC...
tie rod = 1065mm
relay rod = 775mm
Can't remember about the thread size...maybe M23 for the tie rod and the M21 for relay...either way they weren't the same (tie rod is bigger) and were defiantly bigger than M17
