17th-18th April

Post by haydgq »

had the Lux out for its first Voyage by driving it to Wanga's yesterday and had a quick play this morning at the river checking for rubbing and the bump stop lengths etc, everything seems ok so far but if anyone has a pair of old sagged swb front patrol/safari springs lying around I'd be keen to try them in the rear end as the standard 130 surf springs are sagged and a bit low compared to the front with factory 78 Prado coils

After last weekends run, my relay rod was bent again, so this morning I finally fitted the new one thats been sitting in the shed for a while and then got a wheel alignment

bought some new wiper blades on way home, so will fit those then got a 40th to go to tonight

so tomorrow will most likely be a quiet day at my mates watching the V8s and recovering from the 40th

Set to with Pig farmer (THANKS MATE) today and we lifted the whale 45mm so all ready for Lake Daniels club trip next w/e got the lift in ok about 2 hours but could not get 4 wheel drive low or any of the back gears so a bit of heat (and a small fire) bent the gear lever then attacked the tranny tunnel with angle grinder and all was sweet

Hi Fakey,

Na i havent done a build thread but prob should of but its taken so long everybody would get bored haha

Its bascially a 130 surf chassis with a 78 series Prado front HP diff, with a bobbed wellside and 65 series hilux single cab with a 1uzfe under the bonnet. :D pretty standard stuff these days with all sorts of crazy builds going on.!!
