I just put the Bridgestone Desert Dueler 694 A/T on my Surf and got a wheel alignment done. After clocking up just on 1000km in Two weeks I have to say I am less than impressed with them. The Firestone shop concerned set the tyre pressure at 40 psi and the ride with a full load was as hard as the hobs of hell but worst on both sealed roads and gravel the surf was so tail happy it wasn't funny I initially dropped tyre pressure to 38 psi and saw a slight improvement and reduced again to 36 psi and once again slight improvement but don't want to reduce tyre pressure even further. How it is driving now I can probably live with it but it is certainly not gripping the seal or the gravel as well as my old worn Yokohama Geolandar A/T +11 tyres.

Re: Bridgestone Desert Dueler 694
its customer preference
you'll see some folks on here run high pressures and some run low
I personally run 25psi in my 33s on a 2.5 tonne 80 series cruiser
any more and its too bloody bumpy for me
when I had my BJ74 it was the same and my old 40, I ran at 15psi
having worked in a tyre shop for 10 years I'm well aware that my edges are gonna wear out sooner on the low pressures, but my tahs have only recently started to show signs on edge wear after 40000km
so its entirely up to you
some folks can feel the difference and some can't

As a follow up to my previous post, I have reduced tyre pressure even further to 34psi and tyres feel so much better at 40psi there was hardly any tyre footprint but I am now happy on gravel and dry seal so just waiting for some rain now to see what they are like in the wet.

Re: Bridgestone Desert Dueler 694
Rain over the last few days has given me a chance to test the 694's on wet seal and I have to say I am now quite impressed with them. I honestly don't know how Firestone could have got the original tyre pressures so wrong.
