BNT 12volt Air Compressor

Post by SirGerald »

Hi

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the 12 volt air compressors that BNT sell for $165 + GST.

The only information they could give me was a product code of ACP202 and that it does 150l per minute (which doesn't mean a lot until tested under load etc)

They did say that they have had problems with faulty pressure switches on them but I'm not worried about that as running a separate ARB pressure switch so just looking for a grunty pump.

They are going to get one in for me to look at so hopefully will have some more info when it arrives.

Figured someone out there would have come across them before.

These are awesome, i pumped up a 31/10.5/15 from dead flat to 40psi in just under 4 minutes. If ya want high volume grunters they are excellant, much better than my old pump!

We (3 of us) now hav 1 dive bottle between us, 1 full dive bottle fills the tyres of 3 trucks from 10-15psi back up to 40psi, and takes about 1 minute/tyre

I got one of those BNT ones, bit slow, but thats to be expected, brolly aired down to 20ish pounds then back to 40 10-20 times no problem over a year or so.

So not the 150 litres per min as they say??

Had a look at it and no brands on it at all and apparently the supplier that was making them no longer does. Therefore not sure how repairs parts would go.

if ya read the specs you will find it is 150 litres per min at 0-10PSI and dropping down to SFA at 100 psi. you can run into a larger tank and get more stored volume.

The 480C is a truly-rated 200-psi compressor with duty ratings of 100 percent at 100 psi, and 50 percent at 200 psi. The VIAIR 480C pushes 1.67 CFM (cubic feet per minute) at free flow.
