Slight curly one... (electrical problem y60)

Post by gary_in_nz »

i have had my Y60 Safari SWB for a few years. the central locking has never worked to unlock all the doors. if i went around and unlocked each door then depressed the drivers door lock down the central locking would work locking all the unlocked doors.

then a while back i was doing some work on my truck and i had the front grill off which mean i had the front indicators disconnected.

for some reason the central locking fired into life working as if the truck was brand new off the show room floor, working flawlessly unlocking and locking all doors.

then back to the same old once the indicators were plugged back in. its not a major problem, just an inconvenience, but would like to know whats going on.

any ideas where i am to look??

Sounds like you have a bad earth somewhere in the line. Maybe it's in the right hand side kick panel, be the gas peddle?
