BJ40 Build

Post by ClassicCruiserSpares »

I thought i would start a build thread for one of my old cruisers even though its well on its way. Its been sitting in its current state for a year now as other trucks have taken priority, so i brought it home and gave it clean today and decided to carry on with it.
Things that need to be done still:
-Fit the new disc braked front and rear diff.
-Fit new springs and shocks.
-Fit shackle reversal kit.
-Make up new air box to connect snorkle.
-Fit pto winch and make up front bars.
-Fit rear fiddle brakes.
- Fit new bikini top.
-Fit new front windscreen.
-Mount arb compressor and run lines for lockers.
So ive still got alot of work to do but i got the rims all painted up yellow today so i can get the new 35" silverstones fitted to them next week.

Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set.

The fans on a switch so can be turned off in deep water and mud, but the water and mud doesnt effect the dizzy anyway.
Your rite it is very blue but the pics also make it look lighter than it really is.

Hey Fakey the 4" custom springs are made by me here in chch and the raw shocks i got custom made for me in aussie.

Hey nibs, this truck wont need tail lights either it wont ever see the road legally its purelly offroad only.
Its got all custom water proof wiring and all switches, fuses etc are mounted in a water proof box between the seats.
But still alot of cool parts to go in yet.

it looked like you had already done a shackle reversal, but is it just the hangers sit against the chassis cos the springs are too long??and at the back.... or just the photo
Dont follow me. i'll get stuck and need a tow..
