87 Hilux Surf Auto Trans

Hey guys
im looking at buying a hilux surf with a injected 3Y with a auto,
are these auto any good? are they common, first ive ever seen, any ideas what a combo like this 33s will go like?? any help appreciated.

thats what my daily is, the auto is on its way out, got no 2nd gear, but still driveable each day, its done 240ks and different dudes ive talked to say they generally dont last past 200ks.
Its got a tad more go than my carbyd 3y manual, but i wouldnt take it off road, itl turn the 33s ok but i rekon they are weak as shite

oh yea, is it bad on gas? have you had any luck finding another trans?? or will you get it rebuilt? what diff ratio do they have?
im only after it as a daily drive that looks cool,

not too bad on gas, i dont realy take much notice, im looking to do a manual conv, cheap enough, cause otherwise its a good tidy vehicle, reliable as feck, i ned to do the rear main seal too when the gearbox comes out, it doesnt mind running dry on oil for weeks on end hey atleast it stops dripping oil
