I've got a solid axle surf, would be a tad heavier than yours at a guess. The speed is acceptable and has pulled out a lwb safari reasonably well. That one rangimotors has got is the fast version which the NZ agent runs on his club class winch challenge suzuki.

I remember someone on here saying when they pulled their one apart it was better sealed than a warn.
Pulled my one apart at christmas time after it had been on the truck for just over a year had a look and put it back together still looked mint. And that was after going through thompsons and waitawheta mud
Looking for advice on winches, ive been looking at electric winches, im after something thats not too expensive but reasonably reliable and not too heavy, i realise you get what you pay for but im not running a competition truck and its not that heavy, aprox 1450kg, hilux,RN46, 1983.
Seems quite high geared, how much do you want for it?
