Hey mate, I might come, But I may still not have tow hooks fitted. Will the standard D hooks and D shackles be ok? They are rated shackles.

Cheers

each one is connected to the sides of the chassis rail, they are just the standard ones, not the tie down, but the d hoops. Hope I will have the proper hooks by then though

Provided that it is an actual hook and NOT A TIE DOWN you should be okay.. However if at anytime you are going to need recovery the means of attaching to you will have to be checked by me BEFORE you are recovered.

Yep would be easier if you have rated ones

Yea they aren't tie downs, and I understand that you would need to check. Better to be safe.

Here is hoping I finally get paid

The speed your tow wagon goes it would either fall off or get scared and not start once out there :) .

Thanks for the offer but I heard back from bob so will get my trailer , if Rex makes it he can tow it if not I will leave early :) . Better clean my helmet from the post season trial .

Weather should be good , sometimes its good just to get out and sit back and watch/laugh ( esp if I drive )

Cheers

The fourth and final round was hosted by PC Computer Consultants and held at the Extreme 4 Wheel Drive Park Sunday 23th May.
I would like to thank Simon and Adele for food and lodging for the Saturday night and also to Simon who had half the hazards already pegged by the time Jayne and I turned up to peg Saturday morning.

For a while it looked like there would be no Suzukis left as Eugen headed back to Ellieslie to get another Vehicle as he had broken his Zuk, Ross needed a beer at lunchtime so he loaded his on the truck, someone mentioned that it was more to do with the rear diff that had been really noisy and was now almost quiet. Rex and Chris departed at one stage as Rex seems to have put on some weight since the season finished and broke his seat mounts but they did make it back

Steven and John Cochrane only just made it back in time to finish off their hazards as John broke the orbital steering and had to make some quick repairs.

Big Al couldn't be the official unofficial photographer as he was moving that weekend so he very kindly sent his little brother out to take photos for us. Thanks for that Al, how do I get in touch with him to get a copy of the photos?

Results for the day

Jared Biggs C 100
Steven Cochrane C 99
Russell Biggs C 98

Thanks to PC Consultants for sponsoring the Top Half Fun Rally.
I found it challenging and alot of fun, thanks also to the other competitors for their help and encouragement. It was great to see more women drivers in the sport, I just have to remember that a B class truck cant do what a C or D class can do. :)

It was a shame Ross broke the diff, (yay it wasnt me!),on the third hazzard as he was doing well, we finished out the morning and in the end it was a bonus cos we left early and got home to the 'winterless north' just ahead of the filthy weather.

Thanks to Simon and Adele for putting us up for the nite and dinner, it was a good evening, with Dan in fine form as always.

I look forward to the next competition :D
