ive injured my foot and have the next 4 days off, so i should be able to get more progress done on it.

i took the front bumper off, to give her a good clean and discovered why it has been running a bit hot lately.

i cleaned ALOT out of the radiator, so im gunna get some mesh or something for behind the grill to stop bugs etc from getting in there, theres a few dents in it now from them, and a bird hit it at some stage and almost pierced it by the looks.

ordering rear springs for her tommorow, to give her 50mm lift, and the high tensile bolts i am still to locate.

Try Harrisons Supplies in Mersey St in Gore for bolts, they are cheaper than most places in Gore.

true, i would show ya pics of it but its only 2 inches of lift, so its kinda hard to tell the difference, but now i can start getting a little more clearance under it, but i am more focused on this body lift,

say, Does anyone have any high tensile bolts for a terrano bodylift just sitting around? lol

i might be going into town tommorow so i shall see if i can find any, and if i can yay for me, and then its onto these rims for the tires.

i also tried removing the tow bar today, but man those bolts are in some interesting and anoing places.

UPDATE:

I have brought the bolts, $44 later i think its a good deal, but anyway, just waiting to hear from someone about a trolly jack, so i can jack it up as i dont think that the bottlejack will turn out to well, maybe ending in something broken.

have found a jack, cheers to Marmel will have to wait till i have some time off work, which looks like it will be sometime next week, probably the weekend.

Hi there,
Hard to tell 2 inch lift. Bought some lifted springs and a month after couldn't tell from the old ones. Hence the 2 inch body lift as well to suit the big tires.
I have a couple of warnings too;
With a body lift, the bolts are now bending depending on the inpact direction. Now I have ended up the 1/2 inch to the left and the whole body is moving forward so now the front tires now rub on the rear of the front gaurds. Dunno what you guys are talking about needing lots of spare CV's........still on the origial CV's................and upto the 3rd front diff!

You get that :!: :!:
Cheers Simon.
I keep looking for the loose nut behind the wheel, but I can't find it!!

yea i had everyone tell me when i put 35's on my surf i would be snapping CV's and breaking stuff all over the place...my truck has had a hammering since the big tyres went on,done jumps, almost been on its side 4 times and gets trashed by me and my mates and nothing has broken yet...the drivers side CV was clicky when i picked the it up so thought it mit have broken by now but its still going strong,i even brought 2 spares since everyone went on so much that they would break...every motorsport you break parts,i know the CV's will break at some point...but hey when i used to compete in drifting i was breaking parts more often than i do with my surf.

Ah......by buying spares, you kept "Murphy" away. Everything I have broken, I now have spares for and carry both tie rod ends and both ball joints in the back in case of "on track repairs" are needed. That front diff was a spare I had just in case. The guys were suprised by my happiness when I realised that I had shyt my front diff and not a transfer or gearbox! I'm now on the look out for another set of matched diffs for a Terrano at 4.875:1 ratio prefer "HG' type but "CA' type will do. 4WDin' is a cheap form of motorsport and when your truck is like mine (not worth much, and an't got a straight panel left!) it's the best fun you can have without lossin' ya pants.
Cheers.

Mine were 10.8 high tensile, but they still bend :!: :!:
Mind you I treat my "Ranno" hard.
Best of luck. Don't forget to certify it :!: :!:
Cheers.

trust me i will be getting it all certed, probably the only certed car around mataura,

i dont really treat her hard, because shes ma first one and id rather keep her intact, shes also been in the family for a while, so i cant just thrash it.

when i save up some money ill be getting a proper 4x4, and this one will retire, but before that i will be getting a parts ranno for her just in case, i need one with another auto though, cause mines starting to get a bit loose.

but other wise shes allgood,

before i put the 33's on though i will be giving her a bloody good clean underneath and the boys at the local panelbeaters are gunna give her a underbody spray, just to protect it.

after the 33's its a snorkel, and some spotties, but they will have tyo wait for a while.

i brought myself a 2.5 ton trolly jack yestaday for 70 bucks from repco, my brotyher was pleased as i handed him a trolley jack when he was trying to lift the manual gearbox into his nissan 300zx.

but, i can start on the body liuft when i have time, which will be sometime over the next few weeks, but i might get the guys to help me at the panelbeaters when they spray her.

What do you mean a "proper 4x4", what's not proper about a Terrano?
