Mike
make him try the one i sent you down that night! its a pity i wont be there... im sure i could talk others into alot of stupid antics! well... give them a nudge in the right direction...
hmmmm, hadnt thought bout a nudge with the pajero, but it sounds easier than pushing. still its fun to say stuff like... "just give it a go, theres others here to tow you out"

yes we know about that, I shall extend it on to krawlr and his beast.
that wouldn't be me towing people out i dont think the 1600 donk would cope lol
You'd be suprised what a small truck can achieve with the right stretchy strop.....(that goes with your fire extuinguisher and first aid kit, tree trunk protector....which every 4wd'er should carry at all times)
70 series prado (KZJ78) and 90 Series Prado (KZJ95)

Dont forget your shovel.
I may not be there on sunday. I *may* be at an autocross. Not sure yet.
Damn forgot to get a fire ext. for my new truck... well just anotha 1 for the list of what to buy with next play slip i dont have a tree trunk protecter as i don't have a winch...what else is it good for??? but i have everything else
11.00am start, BBQ at midday? Numbers please so I can bring enough sausages, bring a couple of bucks p/person, (I can bring the BBQ , coffee thingy and kettle etc...just bring a cup).
Camera's are always helpful....
Turoa are you able to confirm access? (can we still go thru the fence if the gate is locked?)
Na, theres dirt there now. I'll have to organize a key this time, or borrow zigens
You asked for permission....did we get it? and did we get the key? damn im off to work in half a hour id rather be in my shed! i may see you boyz out there....hopefully
I really like looking at the pics and the fact I WAS there makes it all much better
Had a wicked few hours there today guys. Prob one of the best muddy DAYs we have had there(not including nights). Couple of good pics there, my choice would for front page has to be krawlers clean truck and the drive shaft breakage shot of my surf. The end of the drive shaft near where the spline is decided to shear. So before the freehwheeling hub, or CV or diff blew the half shaft decided to shear itself just in from the spline. Happened when I came down and loaded that wheel up(right front)
shit guys that place looks awesome Nice pics - wish we had a playground like that down here in queenstown
Hey Mike who was the guy with the blue surf that had the front and rear bars made up for his bumpers? wouldnt mind geting some info on those so i can make some up on my surf.
Jerry wrote:We got some real funny looks going home especially Stinky...If anyone knows the CRV I dumped a big bit of mud on can I have it back please...
Turoa...whens your truck ready?...is 3 weeks long enough for the next play (and Mike to fix his)
No, probably not. But maybe we should go somewhere else next time? anyone got access to rallywoods?, terawhiti station? and did anyone get any pics of jerry towing that kids size quad, or me driving in a fashion that half pleased marty?
It wasn't me....anyway I don't see any evidence of me doing that..... (Although I had to lug it there and back in the back of the Rugger....even though its not mine...
What about in the big ass dirt cleanfill in the bottom of the Wainui hill?. A terewhiti lets play in the big mud bogs might be fun....
How long before you have glued and selotaped your landrover back together again Turoa?

Nice pics Jerry,
I had a ball of a time today. Wagon is all clean again, had to wash it so I can get under there tomorrow to remove the steering rod and have another attempt at straightening it.
On the other hand, the way it is bent at the moment it is nicely tucked out of the way, just adjust the tierod ends so the wheels point in the right direction and were away again.
As for the next trip....Rallywoods is an awesome place.
But for the access......
1992 Land Rover Discovery V8i, 5 speed, 12000lbs winch, Salisbury rear, 110 front, 65mm spring lift, dents in every panel, Rallywoods pinstriping.
There may be a farm down Wainui we can access, Red Rocks is a legal road and requires all vehicles to be wof'd reg's and drivers licenced (thats when people aren't dumping bodies there!!), Andy's training area in Totara park is another possability....have to check on the access there...Pattersons farm in Makara?, Rallywoods? not sure on access, Akatawera's access my require permit?, any other suggestions?
