Hi Yah
If you have no luck finding one in NZ.
Here is a great place to buy in USA.
http://www.justdifferentials.com
I purchased a rear 4.88 for my E locker from them.
Only took 4 days to get here and was 1/2 the price of a local one.
I have the KZJ78 landcrusier Prado (square one).
8 inch diffs, V6 / Diesel style.
Reverse cut ring and pinion in front diff...

Hi Yah
I think there is only two models of 80 series Cruisers which have an 8 inch hi pinion diff in the front.
90-97 Landcruiser (FJ-80 and FZJ-80) uses a high pinion, reverse-cut front diff.

This is from http://home.4x4wire.com/erik/diffs/ web page and other google searches point to the same info.

I have never viewed one in the flesh and can't vouch if it would fit a Hi Lux or Square Prado...
But there are articles where people have fitted an 80 series front "e" lockers into Tundra / tacoma's in the states. Much the same as the Hi Lux....

Hope this helps
