Post by nstacey »

What day mate?? Willie..

The start is the top of the Akatawara hill Rd and the finish is down in the Waiotauru river when you fall off the side  :? :?

What about say 11am Sunday at the saddle. Going as far as the track allows or people want to go at the time.

Track is halfway along this road

Yeah cool, will be up at the saddle at 11 tomorrow then.

Will post up here first thing in the morning if weather is too nasty and decide not to go.

I showed up at 11.15, bit late as was absolutely pissing down. No one was there. I decided to drive up a bit on my own. Passed a hunter who said there were 4 trucks (might be some of the guys off here) ahead of me on the track but no PRS chatter and never caught up with them so turned around about halfway to the carpark. I forgot my camera. but at least that first half of the track is not much worse than it was last time I went up. Lots of cross axle wash outs.
