Nissan terrano body lift advice needed

Post by harryzanden »

This is a probably very newbie question but ive looked through most of the nissan posts and havent found anything that really answers my question. I have suspension lifted my terrano 2" with springs and wound up torsions (4 X rancho rsv5000s are on the way) and i want to body lift it 2" in the hope of getting 33s under it. so my question is this what will i need to do to lift it? i really want to know about what has to be done after ive lifted it like extending brake hoses etc etc. any/ all pictures would really help. Also with the all up 4" lift will 33s fit or will i need to do some chopping. Thanks for your help!!

Hello and welcome to the forums harryzanden.
Where are you from?

Here is a couple of "searches" I have done for you.

http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=9717&hilit=+body+lift

There are a lot of other topics on here that will help you out, but you will need to search for them.

Feel free to fire away any questions you have.

BTW, you will need to do some trimming, rear of front guards and front/rear of rear guards.
Ok people, move along. Nothing to see here. Thank you, move along.

General rule of thumb is:
3"body lift + 3" suspenion lift= 33" tires. Otherwise you'll have to cut as kiwipete mentions and I had to do also. You'll really need to beef up the front suspension though.

I did not need to touch the front of my front guards, but I will need to trim the rear guards, front and rear as I only have 3mm clearance!
