Does a Bighorn V6 have a LSD or open diff?

Post by FORGE1 »

Hey everyone,

I havnt had a chance to actually test drive one as there is none in my area but I dont want to drive 2 hours to the nearest one and find it doesnt tick all the boxes.

Looking at a 1994 Isuzu Bighorn RS (Irmisher) 2 door V6, Manual. But just want to know if its got a LSD or just a open diff?

Cheers

Optional on all models was a rear limited slip differential.

The VIN plate should include G80 if it has a factory fitted LSD I retro fitted one in mine which I purchased off TM for a couple of hundred bucks, well worth the effort as it gets you further.

One way to test for LSD is to jack up both back wheels and turn one of them if the other side goes the same way you have a LSD if the other side goes the other way you don't

Regards
