It was a great show that one. The Rang Rover was the only one that didnt break down...

apart from over heating but that was the drivers fault. poor zuke got a bit of a thrashing

Yes the 40 did have a lot of issues (they all did) they also edited it to show the show they wanted. The FJ40 used: three starters, one regulator, clutch, master cyl. Both brake and clutch and clutch slave. The Rangy was the biggest pile and took 2x the amount of time the other three did to keep alive. Also 3x the resources were put into the Rangy since it was Clarkston’s truck #1 and the UK made truck #2. The 40 was in the roughest condition to start with since it was used the hardest prior to the show. If we had access to the parts we do in the States we could have had the truck running with no issues.

All lies mate - dont believe everything you read. the rangy was/is the best 4x4 by far

to be honest, bein on the road would have been harder on it than the off road bits..
