fit a auto locker $600 then go from there.
Just so happens that im thinking very seriously about some ARB air lockers have priced some from a place in chch
diff centre, $1250 + Gst
compressor, $350 + Gst, (this is the bigger one, good for tyres aswell)
These are trade prices, are they good prices or can you get better deals than this??
Hi mate, I don't know how to say this with out sounding like a wanker

Fuk it, Im just gonna be a wanker

The above prices you have listed, in fact even normal retail prices are small change compared to what you "could" spend on a coil conversion and axle swap.
What I'm saying is that if you are thinking that the cost of a locker is to high, so a slapping some new axles under it instead is a more cost effective solution, you could well be in for a surprise.
Current prices from parts on T.M and 4WD Bits:
GQ diffs x2 $700
Front radius arms x 2 $150
Rear control arms x4 $80
Decent free wheeling hubs $270
Up graded CV's $2000
Shocks x4 $600
Steering damper $80
Bushes front and rear $300
Springs front and rear $600
Hub rebuild kit $200
Brake system overhaul on axles and modification to fit Hilux $400
Drive shaft mods $600
Cert $600
Plus some more for all the odds and ends, like welding supplies, hundreds of cutting disc's, grinding disc's, lengths of steel for new cross members and mounting brackets, nuts and bolts etc etc $500
So your looking at over $7100 to start with to do it all your self, properly so you have the right springs and shocks and bushes and it all works properly.
I would say thats a conservative estimate.
I know someone that did a coil conversion recently, all done himself, he scrounged alot of stuff, but to do it properly so it worked he spent over $10k and is still ironing out kinks with shocks and springs and the right combination

Another guy started his conversion, and now his truck is a hacked up chassis in his work shop and he hasn't driven it any where for over a year because he just can't quite get it to work right.
Another mate didn't want to splash out on some new springs, so started on a coil conversion, which didn't work, so led to a chassis swap, which cost HEAPS, and soaked up all the play time funds

I have left mine standard with lockers and strengthend CV's and am working on my driving style in an effort to keep things hanging together. I practice geting off the gas if it bounces, lockers in before it gets cross axled. Full throttle when its slippery, cautious if its dry and heaps of traction.
Ok, enough of the negative, just decided on the axles you want and start cutting shit with the grinder and see where you end up
