Hilux SAS

Post by bad_nuz »

ive searched through the forum but cant find any helpful buildups of a sas done without crossover steering. im slowly getting the parts together so i can do it as fast as possible. and is there a certain driveshaft i can use that will bolt up no problem or is it easyer and cheaper to get mine modified. must the steering box be moved on every sas conversion? truck is a 96 LN107. cheers

Nice choice of user name, your obviously a pretty creative sort of a chap, so you shouldn't have any problems with your SAS.

If you get stuck and can't come up with a solution, just copy someone else.

Creativity is over rated, just copy that shit

Unless you swap your steering box for a solid axle box you have to go cross over steering, which is WAY better anyway.
You 'should be able to use your steering box in the factory location, it may not be in the ideal spot but it is certainly
do-able.

the first link below is a SAS done using steering box in the factory location, Just need to check the sump for clearance with the drag link, especially as suspension cycles upwards on passengers side.

My comments were directed toward the fact that you have pretty much straight out copied someone elses user name, and that you should make up a new one, because what you have done is lame

Sorry for the thread jack, carry on as you were
