Hanmer 4x4 Mudplug

Post by H2OLOVA »

Hanmer 4x4 Mudplug. Saturday 31 July. At Pucker Park, Woodbank Rd, Hanmer.
Entry is $40 per truck, this includes entry for driver and navigator. Navigator is essential for at least two stages as we are having a couple of teamwork stages  Maximum of 40 entries.
There will be 3 classes as follows;
33inch tire and below with 1 traction aid (including LSD) and current WoF
35inch tire and below with 2 traction aids (including LSD) and current WoF
Above 35 inch tyre. Open class. Including buggies etc

Tire size will be judged by whats written on the sidewall. All drivers must have valid NZ drivers license. Helmets for Driver and Navigator.
The main things we'll be checking on are seatbelts, front/rear towpoints and all vehicles will be brake tested.

Some great prizes up for grabs for top placings and All entries will win a prize. Scrutineering from 8am. Event start 10am. There will be a minimum of 10 stages and with the rain we've had lately there will definitely be mud on the menu 8) 8)

Entry forms are available now from http://www.puckerpark.co.nz or http://www.4x4events.co.nz

Anyone who wants an entry can PM me on here with your email address and i'll send one out.
Cheers

Jason

31st July.
I'll be a starter Jase. I'll look forward to it. Count me in.

Surely nibs will be in for this one?
I'm going to try and get my bro to enter as well.

I'm hoping to do better than the last time I was at Pucker Park.
This is how I looked the last time.

Don't think you'd even get that far now Pete, been heaps of rain so now we have lots and lots of mud 8) 8) Will send you a couple of entry forms once i've got them finished.
Been up there this weekend and have sorted where the stages will run   Setting it out to be more a fun event thats good to watch. Most trucks and/or decent peddlers will be able to drive 80 to 90% of the hazards with the fun stages being a total equalizer as far as truck ability goes.

Sounds great Jase!
Did you take any pix while you were there??
I bet I wouldn't get up the easiest hill climb the way things would be there right now. But I'd have fun trying.

struggling to walk up those hill climbs at the moment  We're keeping the stages for this event pretty harmless so if things don't go to plan it should only be the pride thats dented   Saving all the real scary stuff for Thermal Thunder

OK just a quick update. Things are moving ahead quite nicely. Lots of interest, which i'm hoping will turn into entrys  but fairly confident we will have the full 40 trucks. We've even got guys coming down from Nelson and Blenheim to have a go 8) Have got some great prizes lined up for everyone who enters. 8) 8)
We are going to need helpers on the day, so if there is anyone who would be prepared to help out it would sure be appreciated. We have quite a few lined up already but the more people we get, the less each person has to do, which means more time to watch  Even if its only for a couple of hours it all helps We will also shout you lunch and a beer afterwards. So let me know if you're keen.

Thanks

Jason

What are you doing for first aid? I could talk with Pat and he may be able to get St John's to come to the party.

Definately spectator friendly 8) . Making sure you can see pretty much all of the different courses without to much walking between. Infact if you got onto the hill you would just about see everything from the one spot.

Spectator admission charge for this event is $5.00 per person or $15.00 for a family. There will be a food caravan onsite as well.

You need a childs price as well Jas, some dad's may only have one son to bring. Suggest $3 for kids.

Good grief. Get a grip, at $5/person that's really cheap, much cheaper than the movies. Could be $15/adult, $10/child, under 5 free.

$5/person is a great price. If that's too expensive for anyone then they won't find any cheaper entertainment except free to air TV.

It costs me $5.50 / week for my son's indoor cricket game that lasts 50 minutes.

Hey Dude,
yep I agree, but there will be some out there that won't pay the $5 for a kid.

If someone is too cheap to pay $5 for a child then they're probably too cheap to pay for the gas to get to there.

They're also likely to be the idiots who don't respect the rules, get in the wrong places to see better, to be too tired to carry their rubbish to the nearest bin (or carry it with them).

But of course they'll be able to afford beer and smokes.

5 bucks for a child what the f888k.

hahahaha it will cost me atlest 30 buck just to drive up there and back with lili.

if people cant afford that, but can turn up to the event, they have a bigger problem.

lili will be happy to paythe 5 bucks to see trucks playing in the mud, very cheep day out, out of CHCH.

the only problem is dad will be workin :(

ome one take lots of pic and a full report afterwards will be great

Mate,we got 4 kids under 5 and i'd be happy to pay $5 each for them. :) :)
But it's up to you.
Most people with littlie's are fairly honest bout paying for there kids so if you said under 5's free and some one pushes the boundary's next time say everyone pays.
