A couple of us are heading to thompsons track this sunday(27.6.10)
is any one else keen to go. there gonna be myself in surf and mate in his swb safari
91 Surf white, 33inch mudstars 10s suspension lift body lift 2.4 turbo manual running 15 pounds manual hubs 12000 pound winch lots of spot lights and a cb

also can a couple of 4x4s with winches make it all the way to katikati from the te aroha side i have done the easy side heaps but never tried going down the other side

A mate took a quad through the other weekend and from the pics it looks pretty slick. What sorta spec trucks you going in, that and if you can drive will determine your likelihood of completing it. If you do go post up pics :D .

will be taking raised surf on new 33s 12000 winch plus all the usual extras and swb safari with pto winch 33s ect

i would reckomend leaving it till iits a bit dryer for the first attempt in thomos
otherwise go in with guys who know the track
take lots of gear and a sleeping bag if you do decide on going in

good luck :lol:

there will be lots of time for photos so dont forget the camara :wink:

Hey, A few trucks will be headin down there on Sunday from our club, Norwest OHV Inc. Nothing like a few "jafa's" to make the day interesting :lol: :lol:

think we will stay on this side this weekend. got 3 or 4 trucks coming from hamilton should be lots of mud :lol:

think i meet them a while ago up there is starlet on hilux chassis, if so i meet him when his winch cable broke

I will be going along with a few from the club Iam in (Norwest OHV Club Inc) so Look out for a Isuzu Mu with 33's, we plan to get there 9:00 - 9:30 if all goes well.

i have been told there a slip have way up track some where and the 4x4 cant get past it, does any one know any thing about it
