new to forum, 4wding, and need tyre advice

Post by y60 safari driver »

Hi i'm new to the forum and 4wding.

i need some advice on tyres for my y60 safari. i don't want to spend over $1500 and want to go to 33/12.5/15 but there are so many tyres to pick from. what is good and what just slips and cuts?

have been thinking about kumho kl71's or maybe maxxis buckshot mudders? any thoughts?

cheers

If you want a buckshot type pattern nangkang mudstars could be a go? I've seen them for a bit under $1500 with rims. Needa find out how they go on heavy trucks though. Someone on here will know.

ive had kl71s and they are good on and off road but even though they state they are a 33 they arent. i would go for the maxxis bighorn because they have sidewall grip like the kl71s.
