Suzuki escudo exhaust
Suzuki escudo exhaust
im looking at getting a 2 1/4 " exhaust system done to my zuki. getting it replaced from in front of the cat all the way through, with a performance muffler (don't have the technical description). i got quoted a relatively cheap price for him to bend it all up and fit it. Just wondering if there is any thing that i will have to do once it is installed and is the any issues that i may run into.

Re: Suzuki escudo exhaust
Has the exhaust manifold been replaced already ? I would not spend money on the exhaust without replacing that first . Not for any possible performance gain etc but the issues with the factory manafold are well known . They are a twin tube manifold and the inner tube gets crushed and restricts airflow and on a 16v this leads to a cracked head or block .

thanks chris i was thinking of doing the headers at a later date and as money allows. Is it better to priorities the headers first?
Re: Suzuki escudo exhaust
most definately. Best bit of insurance you can get and you get a little more power too (not much but it all helps)

Re: Suzuki escudo exhaust
Extractors first, then a 2 inch exhaust. I have a 2.5" exhaust and one coby. Too big, too loud. Have a muffler to fit now though.
2.25 will be ok, 2" preferable though, imo.

Extractors first as that is probably the most constrained part of your exhaust, or do it all at once.
Maybe a new headlight too...?
