WoF place, North Shore

Post by pjb »

Folks, the previous owner of my pajero has been getting WoFs for years with 33"s and a body lift. But that was in Wellington.

Can anyone suggest where I should take it for a WoF? Somewhere on the North Shore would be ideal...

Panel beaters are your friend, been to 3 different one's for the last 3 wof's, all hassled me about the rust starting to come through on the roof, none have noticed the multiple of things that I shouldn't list here,
early Saturday mornings seem to be the go, cold tired, hung over.

Dunno about the shore but can give you a few places out west and south if your in doubt.

am also running 33"s and a 2" body lift

I get mine at motortech on hillside when I get my services done (get a WoF for free).

Get the body lift and tyres certified and you can take the truck anywhere for a wof

Try Rodney Autocentre 09 4265016 in silverdale, they are 4x4 friendly

Edit 'friendly' to "specialists". Im not saying they are dodgy

Sage advice there Sadam - I would (I did on my old truck), but I'm just trying to manage the cash flow at the moment. $40 for a WoF for six months is a lot more appealing than $450 for certification + $40 for a WoF as well if you know what I mean...

Might give motortech a crack; had work done there before...

if anyone does have a friendly wof man i would say a discrete pm would be better than a post on a public forum or you might not find him so friendly when you see him next.
Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level then beat you with experiance!

Sure, although the body lift in this truck has been in there for 5 years, yet the warrant is 6 months old... But that was when the truck lived down in Wellington with its previous master; things must be different around there
