reverse spotlights

Post by snork »

Can a spotlight be wired to a switch so the driver can operate it when ever he wants to, or does it have to be wired into the reversing light loom?
Cant see a bloody thing while reversing.

any white lights to the rear must only be opperated by the reversing light switch. if it is manualy opperable by the driver when not in reverse it is a dangerous fitting and will fail a wof...if the wof guy notices

Have it opperated by a switch, but also opperated by the reverse switch, best of both worlds

Wire it for both, wof man wont notice or care. just dont mess up and leave it on on the road. put switch where you cant hit it by accident. Wire into the revrse light circuit with a relay

Sorry but you are wrong. You can if they are classed as "working lights". There is a clause in the regs that these "working lights" are not covered by a WOF. They are lights used to light, forwards, sideways and rear of a vehicle.
How do I know this, I have had a look with my WOF guy through the regs and we came across this. He now knows my set-up and has no issues with he lighting.
