The winch bar I bought on trademe, funnily enough it was of paderos paj. The indicators are built in the headlight cluster. And the rims/rubber I bought of dieselboy.
Looking good Daz. Next time I get stuck you'll be the first person I call. Has the Misses calmed down?

Yep give us a shout will put my moby number below later. Just a shame I didnt have these mods on the other week. Didnt plan to get a winch yet but after your situation had to get one. Yeah she's calmed down (until the next time )
Have you got the contact details of the fella who did the lift blocks, I might be needing it

To be honest it was a bitch to fit, but got there in the end and worth it. And couldn't believe it the winch holes were the same.
Hi Daz...
What engine is yours? If it is the 3.5 then you shouldn't need a body lift to fit 33's with a Pajero offset rim. Just a 2 inch suspension lift and you'll be set. If it is the 3.0 or 2.5 TD then yes you probably will. I run narrow 33's (33x10.5x15) with a 3.5 (3.5's and 2.8TD's had factory body lifts to clear larger transmission) and have no rubbing even with chains on . That is with a lift of about 1 inch.

Yeah its the 3.5l, so the best way would be be to crank the front torsion bars up 2" and put some bigger springs in the back?
Yes. Typically pajero's are a little nose down anyway, so I raised the front about 2 inch's and the rear about 1 - 1.5. Real easy to change springs and wind up the front. I wound up mine to within 1 cm of the top bump stop on the front then cut the bump stop in half to get some travel back.
fit used SWB patrol rear coils for about a 2" lift.
swap your Top Joints to under the top wishbone and drill them out to take 10mm bolts. I always use cap screws and nylocks as they can work loose.
This straightens your upright, kingpin, back up and gives more droop through more bumpstop clearance. Cut out the cat for better breathing

Whats the deal with the Patrol springs... are they the same diameter just longer? Daz, If you talk to Matt (Matt4U) his mate Craig is about to fit new springs to his SWB Poo-troll... might be a possible source...
Looking good... worth all the swearing then? Better do that line-speed test before you break something

Steve
Break something you bet ya cause thats just my luck, took it out for a test drive after I fitted the rims. Heard a hissing noise, thought shit got a puncture already got home tyres seemed OK, popped the bonnet and low and behold friggin top rad hose split
DieselBoy wrote:For the rear you could buy some coil spacers from http://www.genie4x4.com or make some
The rims and tyres look a whole lot better on the Paj than on the Safari, ENJOY!!!!!
Cheers Dieselboy, they do look good must admit, even the wife said "It looks very masculine" not sure what she means by that but Ill take it as a complement
Coil spacers hey hmmm cheaper option by the sound of it, cant find any 40mm pajero ones on there, I'll send em an email now, cheers.
my j top is only the 3ltr so it doesnt have the factory bodylift, but i got 33s on it quite easily. raised kings in the back torsions and ball joint flip in the front. oh... and a bit of guard massaging in the front aswell (tyres hit when turning), but you would never know!!! still hits the front guards on full up travel but nothing that worries me, and a lil more torsion twisting will hopfully sort it out.
