Adjustable shocks or not ... thoughts.

Post by gregc5 »

Looking at a 50-60mm lift in a kzn185 surf and been doing the google thing for options:
1. Rancho or Tough Dog adjustables - about $1200 for the TD shocks from a price so far
2. OME or Bilstein 'normal' shocks seem to have good raps. OME springs seem to be well rated too irrespective of the shocks used. Munroes in ChCh are talking $1300ish for full OME kit. Bilsteins can be bought in from the US via the net.

My truck is a daily drive as well as a play vehicle so after a decent ride as well as off road ability. Main reason is to get decent clearance for 265/75/16 muddies I am running and which just rub on flex or lock; and to improve ride in general.

I know there are as many opinions about shocks/lifts etc as anything else in 4x4 ... but keen for any real world experience in NZ.
Thanks
