There are people around with new sets from the last production batch.
I have a set but need them for my landrover.
If you advertise you may strike gold.

Yeah if ya lucky you might find a new set somewhere, I looked for a very long time and found some 700x15's for my suzuki that are brand new and where never fitted to rims. I agree that they are one of the best tyres ever made!

I will ask around to see if anyone has some. I asked the original question as I have been offered some beadlock rims with SAT 7.50 16 tyres. The tyres are nearly gone almost to wear strip - still some bite there though. I put one on my SJ413 and the rim offest is awesome - real nice and wide and the tyres are a great size.
What are 2nd hand beadlock rims worth? The only problem is I doubt they'll be road legal - just have to keep 2 sets of wheels.

new they are about $130ish each, you supply the rims and clean up the welds and paint

Those are the good ones too, there was a run of radial ones made up and they were no where as good as the original cross ply's.

I've got three sitting here in my garage taking up space. Not brand new but still plenty of life left in them. Where abouts are you? Can measure tread in the morning if you like

Howat Engineering is now at $150 + gst per rim for beadlocking
and answer to original question is, yes and no
maybe not the original SATs but you can get similar ones new and theres guys still doing retreads in SAT pattern, but unfortunatly the only cases found these days are 10 ply or bigger

Thanks Skid - so $800 for beadlock rims plus fairly worn out SAT tyres is not unreasonable then if it costs $150 to have rims beadlocked alone. Bearing in mind these are not road legal.

Performance wise a brand new Firestone SAT was miles better than a new retread.
The retread never had the depth of tread that the new one had and also the retread was quite flat across the case. The new ones had a case like a tractor tyre which made them self clean alot better.
The down side is they were a dog on the road and wore out between 5-10000 Ks. I used to buy a brand new set every year or two.
Here is a picture of a brand new Firestone SAT along side a brand new retread.

235/85/16 is the same size as 750/16

225/75R15 = 700x15 equivalent.
235/85R16 may be the conversion for a 7.50 16 but the difference between tyre companys is huge as Ive just found putting 235/85R16 Hankooks on the front and Maxxis on the back of my Cruiser,The hankooks are far wider and taller than The maxxis.

The 205R16 is a pretty small tyre, measure about 29 inches whereas the 7.50 x 16 SAT is about 32 inch high, as someone mentioned, basically a 235/85R16
