series 1 landrover?

can anyone tell me how the factory drum brakes get on in the shit do they get worn pretty fast? or is it better to convert 2 disk?

Disks are definatly better for in the bush. I think rocky mountan do a disk conversion kit for series LRs, probably realy expensive tho. cheaper option is to put range rover classic axles under it would requre a bit of enginering to make them fit. I run the standard drums on mine and havent had to many probs just got to watch your following distance and clean them out when i get home.

i got a quote from mamaku 4wd, who are the rocky mountain supplies down here for $1800+GST+Shipping+cert and you need 16" rims... so its pretty expensive. iv just got drums and theyre fine as long as you wash them out after youve been in the mud.
