No , no and no.
Engine mounts are in different locations ,tunnel needs to be moded to fit the five speed gearbox, 410 transfer case has a different bolt pattern to 413.

What is wrong with the 970cc?

Thanx. I have a 410 that had a swift GTI motor in it but was removed b4 I got it, therefore the bracket on the chasis have been changed for that. I can get a G13b motor and box but have 410 ute t/box. U know the drill, trying to put together a million dollar truck on a shoestring. :(

Let me guess , it was Pink :)

To fit the 410 t/case into a 413 you can either change the input flange on the t/case or change the jack shaft uj end . I am pretty sure the uj's are the same between the 410 and 413 ( I know a 413 vitara and swift are all the same ) . I think thats what was in there before , a 410 t/case and a modified Jack shaft . If it was a pink 410 a g13 should bolt in as the gti block had factory 413 mounts on it .

Yes, yes and yes; it's pink and been in the shed for too long.
How much modification required to the trans tunnel? Heavy hammer or cut and weld?

This was running a 5sp gearbox , no modification to the tunnel will be required . you will see the shifter hole has been cut out a bit more , either fore or aft , can't remember .

Is that a beaten patrol I see in the back ground

Tunnel was cut (hacked) to clear 5 speed gearstick.

This could be an embarrassing thread, It was originally built on less than a budget

and the rank pink was toyota forkhoist red in a can.... that was obselete.....Image

8V better torque then 16v, but 16v has better power I'm told. Carb is easier (use std fuel pump) than injected, but not as good on angles due to position of float in the fuel bowls I believe (prone to flooding and stalling).

and you can get a cam regrind done to a just about mild and it works best on the 16v. fair rockets. and its only about 150 bucks.

i have found the carb to be great.ot a problem at all with it.
