rover v8 into jeep

rover v8 into jeep

i have an old mahindra jeep that i would like 2 repower with a 3.5 rover v8. is there an adaptor plate i can buy. so i can use the jeep gearbox. it currently has a 2l ford cortina engine in it, but we have had nothing but problems. so its time for a change.

Yep it used to be quite a common conversion, not really sure where to get one from sorry.

My old CJ4 had a rover V8 in it, but it was set up with the rover gearbox and transfer. Firewall was pushed back about 4 inches so the driveshafts ended up being similar lengths, meant the two rearward spark plugs were a pain to get at to remove.
