It is a horse trecking track that the land owners were very kind to let us on. It is out Waipu about 40 minutes south of Whangarei, awsome tracks there a few scary parts.
We also do alot of diving out by there so great spots.
Cheers

There was a dampener it was on the hook, and the cable is synthetic rope. If it is not safe why do they let the winch challenge guys race by putting the dampener next to the hook?

Yes thats our. Well what left of a Zook haha, it featured in the New Zealand 4wd Mag when it was a full body, it getting a secound feature in it soon. It runs a commodore motor with prado diffs and chassis, we compete with it.

What tyres were you guys running? Looked like the clay had turned most of them to slicks. I miss the scream of my old zuk on full throttle (heaps of fun).

Re: Whangarei 4wd Club mud run 21 Augest
Yeah I was impressed with it. I guess I wont be getting clay like that down south.
Might have to import some so I can leave it in piles on my drive and all through the garage, not to mention all over my shoes and clothes to stuff the washing machine.
Going to make working underneath the truck too clean (not this one my next project...), and too easy to spot WoF stuff that is wrong.
